The Science of Rainbows

Organised for children between 7–11 years old, this online workshop is inspired by artworks presented in the exhibition On Celestial Bodies at Arter, which deal with the refraction and reflection of light. In the workshop, the children will look at daily life from a scientific point of view, and experiment with various materials to form the colours of the rainbow. They will also transfer these colours on paper and create their own drawings.


 


Materials required for the workshop: Drawing paper, colouring pencils, compact disc, flashlight, a glass of water, scissors, tape, magnifying glass.


 


* Participants are advised to work in a well-lit space.

The workshop will be held in Turkish.
