The book published on the occasion of Nil Yalter exhibition Off the Record opens with an introductory overview by the exhibition's curator Eda Berkmen on the artist's life and work. The cultural anthropologist Bernard Dupaigne focuses on the lives of immigrant workers while in their newly commissioned essays, Başak Ertür discusses "Le Chevalier d'Éon" and Fatoş Üstek offers a glimpse on "Rahime, Kurdish Woman From Turkey". Historian Philippe Artières contributed to the publication with a detailed article on various works of Yalter covering different periods of her artistic production. Through the extensive use of detail images from the works in the exhibition, the book provides a closer look to Yalter's practice.
