Performance Programme - Part 2: Participation
The second part of Arter's performance program titled Participation will be inaugurated by Belgium-based New Zealand artist Kate McIntosh's live installation titled Worktable. This participatory work, which can be experienced during Arter's visiting hours, will enable the audience to take an active role and intervene in various everyday objects by following certain instructions. Inviting participants to reflect upon the practice of creation, Worktable will be staged at Arter’s new space Karbon.
Bringing together different media such as theater, performance and video in her practice, the artist has produced many works that combine art and science with a humorous tone. Worktable has been staged in various institutions and festivals such as KANAL - Centre Pompidou (Belgium), Kaaitheater (Belgium), EMMA (Finland), Fierce Festival (UK).
Four visitors can experience the performance every 15 minutes. Approximate duration is 45 minutes.
